MHAS is proud to announce that this spring we will be hosting a school-wide Music Revue! All students, from KG to Grade 5, will participate in this production. Parents, you will find the words to your student's songs on their class pages. Please help them practice and memorize their words!
Best, Ms. Sallie

Congrats to KG1, KG1, Grade 1 and Grade 2 for their wonderful performances in March and April!
Parents, we hope you enjoyed our performances this year. Your children did a wonderful job! And of course a special thanks to Ms. Mona for our wonderful backdrops and costumes! Dear Parents,
Students in KG1 through Grade 2 are currently working on their spring performances. Please ask your children what they are working on and practice with them at home. KG1 A, B, and C will have a Mother's Day performance on Sunday, March 22 from 9-10am. KG2 will have a performance on Thursday, April 2 from 9-10am. Grade 1 and Grade 2 will have a performance on Thursday, April 2 from 10-11am. To the parents of Grade 1 and Grade 2: Your children have each received scripts for their plays, with their names and roles on the front and their lines highlighted. Please help your children practice and MEMORIZE their lines. Thank you! Ms. Sallie Dear Parents and Students, In addition to teaching music at MHAS, Ms. Sallie is also an active member of the classical music community in Cairo. She will be performing with the Cairo Choral Society THIS WEEK on Wednesday and Thursday. Both performances are free and anyone is welcome to attend. This is a terrific opportunity for students to see Ms. Sallie perform outside the classroom, and parents are encouraged to attend and to bring their children. The performance will be about two hours long, with an intermission in the middle. Children should remember that a good listener pays attention and does not talk during the performance. Performance times and locations:
I hope to see some of you there! Best, Ms. Sallie Dear Parents,
As Thanksgiving comes closer and with it the end of November, your children are preparing songs to sing for you on the last day of school before our Winter Break. Please check the page for your child's class to find more information and practice their songs with them! Best, Ms. Sallie September is here, and it's time to start a new school year! I am looking forward to meeting most of you parents at parent orientation on September 2, and to seeing familiar and new faces at school on September 3, 4 and 7.
For the parents of students in years 3-5, please see your child's class section on this page for the items they will need for music this year. Parents, throughout the year I will be compiling a list of music instructors for children, so if your child has a music instructor they particularly like, please pass on his or her information to me. And for parents who are considering private music lessons for their children, please ask me for recommendations throughout the year. See you all soon! ~Ms. Sallie |
