Grade 1 Music
Parents:
On the left side of the page you will find rhymes, for which we use our speaking voices - or sometimes our whispering voices! On the right side of the page are songs, for which we use our singing voices. New songs and rhymes will be added to the page as your children learn them. Encourage your children to sing the songs or say the rhymes to you, and ask them if they can teach you the actions! Most of the songs and rhymes we use in class have actions with them, and your children will love to share them with you and with siblings.

Animals are everywhere,
In the sea or in the air, in the wild or in our care, they’re awesome. Animals are all around. In the trees and in the ground, anywhere they can be found, they’re awesome. Furry, feathered, slimy, scaly, fuzzy. Quiet, howling, singing, calling, buzzy. Flying, hopping, swimming, crawling, walking. Barking, roaring, laughing, snorting, talking. All around the world, animals are awesome. All around the world, animals are awesome. All around the world, animals are awesome. All around the world, animals are awesome, oh! Awesome animals!
